Reese began his hi-lead logging career in Australia working on a variety of cable systems. An extremely proficient cable logger with an in-depth knowledge of interlock and Tower techniques including grappling and motorized carriages. Reese is very comfortable with all types of rigging from traditional shotgun grabinski systems as well as north/south/modified bend, running dutchman and a mind numbing number of other options. Reese is also very adept at Tree rigging, topping, and splicing.
Reese currently handles all of our training and setup for steel slope applications.
Contrary to the typical ‘back end of a choker’ start that most contractors boast, Kelway began his Forestry career pressure washing equipment as a summer job at the age of 14. To this day he is a professed neat freak with an abiding hatred of gear dope. Since, he has worked all over the world performing a very wide variety of forestry jobs from Choker setter to logging and Business Manager. Kelway is very well versed in CTL systems including harvesting and forwarding as well as steep slope, stump to dump tree length systems.
Kelway lead a steep slope development and research panel in conjunction with International Forest Products in early 2014 that focused on implementing Winch assist techniques to tackle the escalating problem of serious injury and fatalities.
This wealth of ground up experience lets him understand and connect his customer base with exactly what they need.
Gordon began his forestry career as an apprentice mechanic on Vancouver Island and since has worked all over BC in a variety of fields.
A highly proficient troubleshooter and forward thinking mechanic, Gordon became the head mechanic for a west coast logging company at the young age of 18.
Not content with simply fixing machines, Gordon is a very talented processor operator with extensive experience in both CTL and Coastal Long Log applications who understands the value of uptime and technology as well as possessing a business owner’s understanding of productive, cost effective equipment.
